We hosted our first empowering and successful Self Love Event this past April in LA and am now so elated to be making moves to creating our next one for San Francisco.
But, I'll be honest with you - this wasn't what I wanted.
I didn't want an 'event', a day where you come and pay for an allotted time slot and then leave when that hour was up. I wanted more of a... tribe. Yes. That's exactly what I want. I want a self loving tribe.
I want a clan, a society, a home of women who are in their flow and transition to strong and unapologetic self love. In whatever form or shape that transition looks like - I want to find this tribe and photograph them. I want to get to know them and understand their journey and struggles. I want to show them how beautiful they are, in the best way I know how. I will find this tribe of women who are still searching for themselves too.
I can't stress enough how this isn't just about creating photographs together. This is so much more than that. It is finding yourself in your fellow women, it is reaching a depth inside of you that you didn't realize even existed, it is about being apart of a community, a tribe, a place without judgement, without fear, and without doubt.
I want you to be apart of this tribe because of all the reasons that you don't. The fear to bare it all and the doubt in yourself, not to mention the daily judgements we freely hand ourselves. I want to help change that in you, and not just on the surface but so deep inside of you.
I didn't want to create just an 'event', I wanted to create a day with your fellow sisters, those who know exactly what you're going through even when you have never met. Your fellow sisters who ignite the fire on your tongue and the calmness in your wave. I wanted to spend time together without a clock running and have a flow of conversation without any forced guidance. I want you to come be apart of something that I have only dreamed of creating because you dream of it too.
This won't be easy, you'll have to want it badly - but let me make it a little fun at least. I am looking for women who are searching to live and breathe freely, women who want to empower each other and most importantly, women who are independently bold. Bold to recognizing that self love is not only skin deep.
I am completely changing the self love event to the self love tribe and all its aspects for the unity and strength that comes with a tribe. Instead of coming in for an hour session, slinging back a few mimosas and then hoping that this self love feeling lasts long after the session, instead I want you to come spend the day with me and some amazing women. We will have mimosas & time to get to know each other, and throughout the day we will be doing individual private photo sessions. In the evening we will be having amazing food and celebrating together in an intimate dinner party. Celebrating our minds, our bodies, our spirits and each others. I want you to come join our tribe and celebrate yourself through a day long of self love.
